Mahatma Gandhi was not the the member of Constituent Assembly but his vision was followed by the members.

  • Despite the fact that Mahatma Gandhi was not a member of the constituent parliament, many people did follow his vision.
  • According to his publication Young India, he desired to free India from all patronage and thralldom in 1931. His main point is political equality.
  • In his mind, India was a place where all ethnic groups would coexist together. He desired an India where the stigma of untouchability would be eliminated and women would have the same rights as men.
  • Some of his followers used his vision to draught the constitution. And we can observe them in our modern lives as well, given that women have the same rights as men and that we are free from all forms of thralldom ( slavery ).

Hence, Mahatma Gandhi's vision was accepted and his visions are encapsulated in Indian Constitution as Gandhian Principles under Directive Principles of State Policy.
