cell theory was proposed by Matthias Jakob Schleiden in 1830s

In 1839,Schlieden and Schwann together proposed the cell theory.
The features of cell theory :
all the living organisms are made up of cells.
all cell arise from pre existing cells.
the function of an organism totally depend on the working of cells.
cells are basically alike in chemical composition and their function are also same but shape is different.
