Who appoints the chief justice and the judges of the supreme Court and how ?

Hey friend

President appoints the chief justice and the judges of supreme court. In context to the appointment of chief justice, the President takes advice from other judges of the Supreme Court. At present The Collegium group appoints the judges of the Supreme Court.
According to this , a group consisting of Chief Justice of Supreme Court and four senior most judges propose the name of judges to the President and The President appoints the judges from the proposed list names.
