Aurangzeb was the last prominent ruler of the Mughals. The Mughal emperors who succeeded him were known as Later Mughals. Bahadur Shah (1707-12), Jahandar Shah (1712-13), Farrukhsiyar (1713-19), and Muhammad Shah (1719-48) were first four 'later Mughals'. The 'Later Mughals' were weak and inefficient rulers.
