Who are presided over by retired judges in India ?

Indian judiciary consists of three different types of courts :-
- Supreme Court.
- High Court.
- District Court.
The judges are appointed in these three courts by different processes. So when a judge retires at the age of 65, in Supreme Court the President appoints a new judge to preside over the old judge. Whereas in High Court and District Court, the Chief Justice of India is responsible to appoint new judges based on application.
According to the appointment protocol as enumerated under the Constitution of India, retired judges are presided by newly appointed judges based on the request acceptance by President of India done by Chief Justice of India.
