First Estate

Thr first estate mainly consisted of Clergy members, which means the people of the Churches. The lived a life of luxury and they did not pay any taxes. They collected taxes known as "Tithes" from peasants of the third estate.

Second Estate

The second estate mainly consisted of the the Nobility. They lived a life of luxury as well and held important positions in the Administration of the country. They too extracted taxes from the third estate members.
