Einstein’s re-interpretation of gravity has been currently accepted as the accurate one.

Newton’s law of gravity was one of the greatest feats of human intellect at that age. But the problem involved in his explanation was this.

Suppose there are 2 bodies in space with coordinates (x,y,z) and (x’,y’,z’) [read x prime, y prime and z prime). If you bring one of the bodies closer or farther to the other only by an infinitesimal distance-meaning that if you change the coordinates by (dx, dy, dz), the other body will experience gravity instantly, without any time delay, meaning that gravitational force was exerted with infinite speed.

Special relativity does not let this happen. Because the speed of light is the ultimate speed any body can attain.

Instead Einstein said that gravity was not a property of the body, but of space-time.

All bodies, due to their mass, density etc create a distortion or a curvature in space time. This distortion is gravity.

PBS has excellent videos on these subjects. Type “PBS Spacetime” on YouTube.

Remember, General relativity is currently “accepted” as the accurate interpretation of gravity. Doesn’t mean it should exactly match with all the observations we shall be making in the future.

I hope it helps you

MrMaths1: Thanks a lot..... But einstwin gave the theory of space curvature and how will u explain the working of space time graph in a freely falling apple.... Einstein said that there is no gravity but how will he explain the concept of falling apple... I don't think so that in this space time graph is needded.... Actually I'm in confusion I will be pleased if u answer it

i hope you understand

MrMaths1: Thanks a lot to all who have tried to attempt and had successfully removed my confusion.....
Anonymous: its my pleasure
MrMaths1: Okh then I have one more doubt
Anonymous: yeah say i am trying to attempt
MrMaths1: Einstein expanded the theory of Quantum..... As Quantum Mechanics.... So was it supported by newton's gravity in any way????
MrMaths1: I hope you understood what I am trying to say..??
Anonymous: can i give you this question answer later
MrMaths1: Ya of course.....
