Answer:
Explanation:
Qutub Minar was built by Qutb ud Din Aibak. He was the founder of the Delhi Sultanate.
He initiated the construction of the first storey of Qutb Minar in 1192. His son in law Shamsuddin Iltutmish , who was also his successor further completed the three storeys in 1220.
During 1369 the top storey was destroyed by a lightning. The damaged storey was replaced by Firoz Shah Tughlaq and he even added one more storey. When Sher Shah Suri came to power he built an entrance to this structure.
The Qutb Minar is a minaret which is a part of the Qutb complex. It is declared as an UNESCO World Heritage Site which is located in Mehrauli, Delhi, India. The tower stands at 239.5 feet tall consisting of five tapering towers with 47 feet in (base) diameter, which gets reduced to 9 feet at the top of the monument. It has a spiral staircase consisting of 379 steps.
