The correct answer is - Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

The history of the Great Wall of China began when fortifications built by various states during the Spring and Autumn (771 - 476 BC) and Warring States periods (475–221 BC) were connected by the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, to protect his newly founded Qin dynasty (221–206 BC) against incursions by nomads from Inner Asia and various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe.

The Emperor Qin Shi Huang ordered millions of people to finish this project. Soldiers made up the main construction group. The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials, built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China.

The answer of your question is the famous Emperor “Emperor Qin Shi Huang”

He was the one who built the great wall of china. Actually  various states were connected by the emperor .This is done in order to protect the Qin dynasty in the era of this emperor. Millions of the people participated in this while the soldier was the important one. It is made of stone , brick and wood etc.

But even before connection of this by the emperor , the different stated at their level built the individual wall in order to keep the invaders away. Qin did it in the 221 BC and work was done upto 206 BC
