Noam Chomsky is the right answer.

North Vietnam followed the socialist pattern of government under the leadership of Ho Chi Minh. On the other hand, the government of South Vietnam followed the capitalist type of Government with the assistance of the United States under Bao Dai. Thus, when North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam for the purpose of unification, the United States interfered to the war to give assistance to South Vietnam. This is how the United States entered the War of Vietnam. Avram Noam Chomsky who is a philosopher, American linguist, political activist, historian and cognitive scientist called this war as the largest menace to harmony, to national self-determination and to global cooperation.
