the chicken came first because, egg shells are formed by a protein which is only found in a chicken's ovary. If Egg came first, where could it have come from. the shell of an egg is made up of calcium carbonate, which is found in a chicken's ovary only.

Talking logically, There is no first appearance of Egg or No first appearance of Hen. Then, How we can see Hens and Eggs today ?

The answer is the discovery of scientists. After lot of scientific researches scientists come on the conclusion that, Eggs came first. This is what scientists say - Long long years ago there was a Chicken like bird which was genetically like Nowadays chicken. It was also called as proto-chicken.

And, This Proto-Hen laid an egg which was later Proto-Fertilized. But, when the Genes of this Male Hen and Female chicken were came together, then by the process of mutation, it made accidentally baby. Which wasn't like it's Father nor it's mother. It was just like any other species kind of animal. That egg was enough to become the official progenitor of the new species.

So, In a Nutshell two birds that weren't the chicken's nor the Hens created Egg. And, Hence Egg became hatched and today we have answer that Egg came first and Hens later.

Talking scientifically, Egg came first in appearance on earth. Scientists say that the Protozoa of egg is determined to came first as compared to Hens. Different religions have different kind of answers for this question. But, After a lot of scientific researches, it is to be concluded that Egg came first in the world.
