The owner to this artificial tecnique is Secmol and the founder of this project is sonam wangchuk. The project is still in hand and is being continued.

How the project is going?

In order to test these ideas last winter (2013-2014) at the SECMOL Alternative Institute, a prototype was built. a spot was chosen which was fully exposed to sunlight and located at the lowest altitude ,so that where it melts was located and This was done to prove that if it works in these conditions, then it can work anywhere in Ladakh. some moths had passed by to built the ice stupa and finally it did melt in mid summer . The latest version is still running . The ice stupas are 7 m high . It will be nice if it can be built somewhere In kashmir in India . This is the aim of the project .

a good work will really help them to introduce a new attraction in India . Secmol is going good and new ideas are coming up to sonam wangchuk. He is thinking of introducing new facts . The mission is still on . The idea behind is to freeze the water that keeps flowing away down the streams and into the rivers throughout the winter. Instead, this ice will melt in the springtime, just when the fields need watering.

hope this fact helps you:best of luck
