So father's age is 6x

After 6 years

Father's age = 6x+6

Son's age = x+6

But Father's age is 4 times son's age

So,

6x+6 = 4(x+6)

6x+6 = 4x+24

2x = 18

x = 9

So their present ages are

Father = 54 years

Son = 9 years
