Democracy is a form of government of the people, by the people, for the people. Therefore, it recognises the basic principle that all men and women are equal and capable of governing themselves through elected public representatives. Hence, it can be said that democracies are based on political equality.

There is no better example than our country India. India is a secular country where people follow different religion,culture and tradition.They never face any difficulties or discrimination on the basis of their religion or tradition. There is no caste system which is the outfit in the society.The voting system makes India the largest democracy in the world.It provides political equality and even people can express their own views and opinion.
