Hi friend.
First ,we know about what is chloroplast.
Nature and occurrence .Chloroplast are present in green algae and higher plants.They have a green pigment called chrolophyll and they ate involved in the photosynthesis of food.So chloroplast are the "Kitchen of the cells".Each chloroplast is bounded by two unit membrane like mitochondria .
According to our question ,,who coin the term chroloplast ???

Ans-- Chloroplasts was first suggested by the Russian biologist Konstantin Mereschkowski in 1905 after Andreas Schimper observed in 1883 .

It show two distinct regions::-

1】Grana are stacks of membrane -bounded , flattered discoid sacs containing the molecules of chloroplast.They are the main functional units of chloroplasts.

2】Stroma is the homogenous matrix in which grana are embedded.Stroma contains a variety of photosynthetic enzymes,starch grains ,DNA and ribosomes .

Chloroplast function are it trap solar energy and utilises it to manufacture food for the plant.....

Hope it is helpful.
