iis not clear about the first man made map of India but evidence prove it that it dated back to 1 millennium BCE. Captain James Rennell is considered as Father of Indian Geography and is considered as the first person to make the first approximately correct map of India in 1783.

The earliest Greek known to have made a map of the world was Anaximander. In 6th century BC, hedrew a map of the then known world, assuming that the earth was cylindrical. The first Greek to draw a world map using the assumption of a spherical earth wasEratosthenes.
But its been a myth of who designed indian map, i think its because of partition of india before and after independent..
