Answer:

Lushoff was given petty jobs by Sergei who didn't want Lushoff to lead his life by begging. Sergei would give odd jobs to him so that he may live by earning and not begging. Sergei also sent Lushoff to one of a friend to give him a job of a copier. and a special role played by Olga to change him as she used to job the wood in the place of lushkoff when he was physically weak she used to scold her and sometimes even abuse that he is a drunken all these things helped him to change from Dunkin to gentleman

Answer:

Lushkov changed into a gentleman from a drunkard due to the cook, Olga.

Olga took pity on Lushkoff. She realized his condition and tried her best to improve it. She helped him by chopping wood in his place.

Though she called him a ‘miserable creature’, ‘unlucky man’, ‘a drunkard’, and ‘unhappy one’ and said that there was no pleasure for him in this world, she was full of kindness and had a helping attitude. May be she criticized him in order to improve him.

The very act of Olga changed and saved him. He said  that he had even stopped drinking at the sight of her. It was because of her words and noble deeds that a change took place in his heart. She had set him on the right path.
