The hermit received only common people who came to him for help.
EXPLANATION:
In Leo Tolstoy’s famous short story “Three Questions” there once lived a hermit in a remote forest. The hermit was very humble and did not entertain any rich and proud people. He was however always ready to help the common people who would come to him with their problems. In his sage like manner and oceanic wisdom he would solve all their problems.
It was for this repute that the King too decided to seek the answer for three important and philosophical questions. But he couldn’t go to the hermit in his kingly robes, instead he had to disguise as a commoner to woo the attention of the hermit.
