Newton's law was proposed by Newton himself.

He had given three laws namely :

Law 1. Everybody continuous is state of rest of uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled by some external force to change that state.

Law 2. The change in momentum of a body per unit time is directly proportional to the an unbalanced force on the body.

Law 3. Every action has equal and opposite reaction.
