By China, I assume you mean the mass of land that is today known as the country of China. If this is the case, then it can be said that Homo sapiens (modern humans) arrived in China some centuries/millennia after our species started emigrating from Africa in waves. We have evidence of fossilized teeth of humans dating back to 120,000–80,000 BC being found in present day Hunan province, China. Before that, there is evidence of Homo erectus having lived in China over a million years ago, mostly archaeological evidence in the form of tools. Humanity and its ancestors have been living in the territory that comprises China for a long time, but it's not like someone just stumbled upon China and “discovered” it.
Later, in the Neolithic period, evidence of Chinese agriculture can be found dating back at least 7,000 years, which means that civilizations had begun to arise in China (early civilizations formed along the Yellow and Yangtze’s Rivers) around 10,000 thousand years ago, at least. China is recognized as one of the early cradles of civilization; it's one of the most ancient ones to arise.
