Benjamin Franklin discovered current. he SI unit for current is Amperes. Ampere is named after André-Marie Ampère (1775–1836).
He was a french mathematician and physicist and was considered the father of electrodynamics. He obviously made some significant changes in the life of electricity along with Franklin.
