No one person can take credit for the discovery of math. However, mathematics has developed over time, and many people have contributed to its different fields or branches that include algebra, geometry and trigonometry.

Archimedes was a mathematician and inventor from ancient Greece best known for his discovery of the relation between the surface and volume of a sphere and its circumscribing cylinder.

Greek philosopher Plato argued that math is a discoverable system that underlines the structure of the universe.

I personally think that the concept of mathematics was discovered. You can't "invent" 1 + 1 = 2; it just does. I'm confused as how to present my viewpoint. What other possible arguments are there? It will be very helpful if you could give me ideas from both sides. Thank you very much for your help. It will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hope it helps
