Actually there is no one single inventor of thermometer , many are claimed to be inventor of thermometer as HERO OF ALEXANDRIA .

\textbf{THERMOMETER }

A thermometer is a device used to measure the degree of hotness or coldness of a body .

There are scales marked on thermometer one in celcius and the other in fahrenheit .

A thermometer measures temperature quickly and there are several types of thermometer , e.g

1▪ Fore head thermometer

2▪ Digital thermometer

3▪ Electronic thermometer

It is clear from the word thermometer that it is a device used to measure heat . Therm means heat , meter means a device used for measuring .

The liquid used in thermometer do not stick to the walls of thermometer .
