Who do you think can be called patriotic or a true patriot in the lesson, The Enemy, Dr. Sadao or General Takima? Why?

All the three persons mentioned in the questions were patriotic; however each one was the victim of circumstances and bound by moral obligations also. Dr. Sadao was as much patriotic as the POW and General Takima; but he was bound by Hippocratic Oath; so he had to help the POW.

General Takima was equally patriotic; but his health condition did not let him carry out his patriotic duties.

The POW was not more patriotic than the other two; he had been forcibly enlisted by the Government of his country to fight for the country.

All the three persons mentioned above tried to be as much patriotic as they could afford.
