According to my views, the postmaster was a calm and nice person. In order to help Lencho to get money and to help him keep up with the hopes of receiving money from god, the postmaster had collected money from his employees and given him the amount of money he had earned.
The next day when Lencho had received the mail and seen that there was less amount of money, he felt that the postmasters had removed some amount of the money and they were a bunch of crooks and so he sent a mail to god once again not to give the money from the postmasters again.
From this, we can understand that Lencho was a person who had so much belief in god that he felt that everyone else apart from him was not a good person and didn't have a good heart.
