Earth rotate around Sun because the gravitational pull of the sun pulls the earth towards it . As proposed by Einstein there are space -time web which makes the earth rotate around it. As of Kepler's 3 theory of planetary motion it states that earth revolves around the sun in an elliptical orbit.
