6x+10y=8
according to the second condition
4x+6y=12
we find the one woman and one man together finish the work (x+y=?)
2x+3y=6
3x+5y=4
adding and subtracting
5x+8y=10
x+2y=-2
x=-2-2y
5(-2-2y)+8y=10
-10-10y+8y=10
-2y=20
y=-10 days can't be -ve,hence y=10
subs y in equation
x=-2+(-2*-10)
x=-2+(20)
x=18
x+y=18+10=28 is answer
