Answer: La Révellière-Lépeaux went into hiding during the Terror of 1793–94, but following Robespierre's death, he returned to the Convention and was nominated to the commission that drafted the Constitution of 1795. He was the Convention's president and later a member of the five-man Directory (1795–99).
