MLA s are elected directly by eigible voters in a well established electroral system. MLA may be elected in a general election or by election by the indian citizens living in a particular state.MLA is elected from many contestants from different political parties. This area is known as constituency. The maximum number of seats / MLA are fixed in each state as per directions of EC of India.The person who gets maximum number of votes in an election is declared elected as MLA by the Election Officer of district. These elections are held under control of Election Commission of India in a systematic and well established procedure.
