Hey Friend,
Qutub Minar was originally built by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in the memory and love for Amir Khusrau.
Qutub-ud-din Aibak laid the foundation of Qutub Minar...
It is said that the work was completed by Iltutmish. But, the work was in fact completed by Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq.
Once, in 1368 AD, lightning struck and the foundation was damaged, the fourth storey of the Minar was damaged. Firoz Shah rebuilt the fourth storey and added another storey (fifth one) to it!
Hope it helps!
