The name Brahmananda was given to Keshab Chandra Sen by Debendranath Tagore.

Keshab Chandra sen was a great admirer of Debendranath Tagore.

When he was inducted in the Brahmo Samaj he started working alongside Debendranath Tagore for various social reforms.

Consequently, due to his commitment and greast work, Debendranath Tagore made Brahmo Samaj’s acharya and also entitled him as Brahmananda.
