It was a committe of 389 members, namely Constituent assembly. The head of the Committee was Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.He had to consider all the community in India. no one should be affected by the new constitution. So he read many constitution of the world and took the best of them and wrote in our constitution.

For example, Parliament is a part of the Britain constitution.
