Answers
ANSWER:
The slogan " maroFirangiko" was given by Rani Lakshmi Bai.
EXPLANATION:
Rani Lakshmi Bai was born on November 19, 1828. Her birth name was ManikarnikaTambe. She was the daughter of MoropantTambe (Father), Bhagirathi Sapre (Mother). She was the queen of "princely state of Jhansi".
After the death of her husband, MaharajGangadhar Rao Newalkar, British governor-general of India Lord Dalhousie refused to recognise their adopted son as the legal heir of Jhansi, and annexed Jhansi as per their policy of the 'doctrine of lapse.'
Rani Lakshmi Bai revolted against British policy and played an important role in revolt of 1857. With the help of Tantia Tope, she annexed Gwalior and proclaimed Nana Saheb as Peshwa. She died while fighting a fierce battle with British general Hugh Rose in KotahkiSerai, near Gwalior.
