who gets electricity to the computer

They get their power through a power socket, like pretty much everything else in your house. That is not all though. Because in the USA at least, all of the power coming out of the wall is AC power and ALL computerized electronics(everything from displays to the computers themselves) need DC power and in order to convert that energy they will need either a Power adapter, power brick, or power supply in order to be convert AC power to DC power.
