The Maharashtra government on Friday issued a set of guidelines on intra-state travel for people to ensure that even if the lockdown is lifted partially in Covid-19 free regions, it would still not be easier for a person to travel from one part of the state to the other.

According to the guidelines issued by Maharashtra chief secretary Ajoy Mehta, the ‘nodal authority’ of one region has to notify its counterpart of another region of people coming to their region and the ‘movement cannot start unless the acceptance letter of the receiving nodal authority is issued.’
