At that time, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and opposition leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah on 28 May made a concensus and appointed Justice Retired Nasirul Mulk as the interim prime minister of Pakistan.
Justice Retired Nasirul Mulk took oath on 1st June 2018 from the President of the time Mr. Mamnoon Hussain.
