D K Jain has been appointed as the new BCCI’s ad-hoc Ethics Officer.

Explanation:

DK Jain is the former apex court judge. Under the terms of newly approved constitution of the cash rich cricket board DK Jain is the first person to whom Supreme Court appointed as ombudsman for the BCCI.

DK Jain will also be BCCI's  ad-hoc Ethics Officer. The mandate of the Ethics Officer is to look into matters of conflict of interest involving players, coaches and officials.

According to newly rules guided by the court, the Ethics Officer shall be a retired Judge of a High Court and the term of an Ethics Officer shall be one year.
