Anywhere where there is no matter present, we say vaccum is present.
The absence of matter (everything around you which has physical existence) is Vaccum.
and just think for a movement, if nothing of physical existence is present somewhere then how can it exert force upon anything ?
And when there is no force, how can there be pressure ?
as,
Pressure = Force/Area
... However, we know that air consists of very very small particles moving at a very very high speed which are generally referred to as atoms, molecules and ions. And when kept in a closed container, these particles of air, which are free to move, strike the walls of the container and exert force and hence pressure is felt.
Best Of Luck!!
