The full name of Abraham Bennet  is Abraham Bennet F.R.S . He was an English clergyman and physicist. He was born on  December 20, 1749.On March 1, 1785 Abraham Bennett married Lydia Shultz in Goshen, Orange Co., New York. When they wed, Abraham was 20 and Lydia 15 years old. They raised 7 sons and 8 daughters. Total he had 15 children. They were - Benjamin Bennet ,     Polly (aka Mary) Bennet  ,  Christian Bennet , Samuel Bennet ,     Azuba Bennet ,  William Bennet ,  Levi Bennet ,  Hannah Bennet ,    Abraham Bennet ,  Margaret Bennet ,  Penelope Bennet ,  Lydia Bennet , Esther Bennet ,  Nancy Bennet  and Alvah Bennet. He died on 9th May 1799.
