Hope it helps ^_^
I tried my best to explain this topic
Please read this article fully, I didn't do it for the Brainliest answer or any points but for proper explanation to the question.
Charles Babbage is known as the father of modern computers. He didn't invent the computer as he couldn't complete his 'Analytical Engine' before his death, but his concept gave birth to all the modern computers.
Maybe you didn't know, there are two kinds of computers,
- Digital Computers (like all the modern ones using 0 & 1)
- Analog Computers (which used gears etc of calculation)
Analog devices have been used for a long time.
In 1872, Lord Kelvin invented the 'Tide Predicting Machine' which used several gears to predict the tides of a place. This work is now done by computers.
In 1901, the 'Antikythera Mechanism' was discovered. It was estimated to be over 2000 years old. When examined, scientists found that it contained several gears. The scientists examined the gears even more carefully and the results were shocking. The mechanism was able to calculate Solar and Lunar eclipse not years but decades before they occurred. The task of calculating solar and lunar eclipse is done by supercomputers nowadays.
Hence, by the above explanation, it can be said that the inventor of the computer is unknown (because of Antikythera Mechanism which is an Analog Computer), Charles Babbage invented the concept on which all the modern computers exist.
