Extremists were those people who were frustrated by the slow progress to gain freedom by the moderates.... they believed that to freed India, they had to remove away the British govt but the moderates did not want to remove the britishers. They wanted that Indians gain more representation in the Indian civil service..... the extremists completely opposed the moderates

Some of the extremists were people like Bhagat Singh
