Who is Andrew Manson ? Why does he visit Joe Morgan's house ?

Andrew Manson was a newly Doctor. He was going to Joe Morgan's house because Morgan's wife was Pregnant And that was the first baby of Morgan and his wife. So he called in hospital for sending a Doctor for his wife's delivery.
