Arundhati Roy is an Indian Author. she was born on 24 November 1961, in Shillong, Meghalaya. Early in her career, Roy worked for television and movies. Roy began writing her first novel, The God of Small Things, in 1992, completing it in 1996. This book captured her childhood and was a semi-autographical book. This book shot her to fame. She has received many awards and is a very renowned author.
