ANSWER:

Abu Ali ibn Sina, a Persian writter from Bukhara in Maverounnahr,  is the author of kitab-al-sifa.

EXPLANATION:

Also knows as "the book of healing", it is a scientific and philosophical encyclopedia. Contrary to its name, this book is not concerned about medicine. It is known by yet another name "the cure", which is intended to "cure" or "heal" the ignorance of the soul.

The book consists of 4 parts namely: logic, natural science, mathematics (arithmetic, geometry, astronomy and music) and metaphysics. It is believed to be influenced by ancient Greek philosopher such as Aristotle, Ptolemy like Hellenistic thinkers, many earlier Persian and Muslim scientists and philosophers including great names such as Al-Kindi (Alkindus), Al-Farabi (Alfarabi) and Abu Rayhan al-Biruni.
