Answer:
Betsey Trotwood is the great aunt of David Copperfield. She is a very nice lady with a heart of gold. She harbors no nonsense. She disliked men and boys and couldn’t stand them. Hence when David was born she stormed out of the house on learning that a boy was born. She had planned on being the Godmother to the child and on hearing that it was a boy, she left the Rookery. Later she took care of David after he was a little older and was having a tough time with his stepmother after his mother died.
