In my opinion, VVD just edges this one right now. But overall Sergio Ramos has achieved a lot more in his career and for this reason, he ranks above VVD. Virgil Van Dijk is a better defender and growing into a leader in Liverpool. Ramos, on the other hand, offers a lot more going forward.
