Robert Hooke discovered cell by using a self made primitive microscope in the year 1665 .He first observed a thin slice of bottle cork and found empty spaces is so he named this thing as cell

Anton van leeuwenhoek was the first person to. devolp a microscope and observe the cells.
using the micro scope he observed blood cells in capillary of the webbed foot of a frog..

Robert hooke studied a thin slice of cork tissues and notice small boxes like structure in it.. he named it as cells.
