hlo mate here is your answer.

What is the actual contribution of Dr. Ambedkar to Indian Constitution?

Dr BR Ambedkar is rightly called as the father of Indian constitution due to his immense contribution in making of the constitution.

He was the Chairman of drafting committee which played a huge role in the drafting of the constitution.

He studied the constitutions of various countries and introduced the best of the features that suited for Indian constitution.

He played a major role in bringing in social justice to the Indian constitution. He emphasised that economic justice and social justice are indispensable to achieve political justice.

He succeeded in providing basic rights to the depressed classes which were denied thier basic rights and subjected to discrimination.

His commitment for the upliftment of the depressed classes can be seen when he promptly submitted his resignation for the post of law minister when some members of the constituent assembly objected to introduce reservations for the backward classes.

He also played an important role in formulating directive principles of the state policy and called it along with the fundamental rights as the soul of the Indian constitution.

From being the only person who attended all the three round table conferences where the White paper resolution of GOI, 1935 was discussed, which later became the fodder for Indian Constitution, to being called the “father of the world's most lengthy but perfect Constitution” B.R. Ambedkar played the pivotal role in making of former.

He contributed through and through with its working and drafting and by timely intervention defined the need of almost every part of Constitution so presented to us.

From Preamble's we the people of India to the inculcation of words India, that is Bharat to the need of fundamental rights and defining the article 32 as heart and soul of the Constitution, to defining the need of Directive Principles of State Policy , he defined the premises on which Constitution was a structure to.

He was a strong advocate of uniform civil code, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and political, economic and social democracy, which can be seen in his constituent assembly speeches where he explained the need and importance of every article and sub clauses to paint the complexities of an otherwise complicated Constitution into simple words that an Indian can relate to.

He was a proponent of one India ,in response to article 370 he said:

We are Indians, firstly and lastly.

Most importantly he envisaged the need of abolition of untouchability.

Also, he justified the need of impartial judicial system to what he said:

Law and order are the medicine of the body politic and when the body politic gets sick, medicine must be administered.

It will take ages to quote and give a viewpoint of what he has done for our nation — an original document to refer to in case of any anomalies with respect to say, distribution of powers, centre-state relations, interpretation of fundamental rights and DPSPs etc.

Finally, the very of proponent of Constitution left a suggestion for its (Constitution's) upcoming followers :

However good a Constitution may be, if those who are implementing it are not good, it will prove to be bad. However bad a constitution may be, if those implementing it are good, it will prove to be good.

Thus, the Constitution of India has been a written testimony of wisdom of Baba Saheb.

thank you.
