Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: Dan is writing a story. (Active)

A story is being written by Dan. (Passive)

NOTE: Sentences that covey habitual actions cannot be changed to passive mode.

Who is driving the car? (Active)

By whom is the car being driven? (Passive)
