Its Sanskrit.Hindi is derieved from sanskrit only.And father of modern hindi is Bhartendu Harishchandra.
He is regarded as on of the best hindi writers and was born in 1850 and died in 1885 at just a small age.His Pen name was Rasa.Some of his works are prem nagari, Andheri nagari, Bharat Durdasha, Nildevi etc.
